Welcome!

I decided to start this blog because so many people have been posting about their bx error codes that they are getting on the Blogger.com blogs.

Since I am a blog consultant, I have been seeing people post about these bx error codes problems for quite a while now.

First off there are some things that you should know:

  • First if you are one of the many people who are getting the bx-error code screen the first thing that you should do (as I have been told) is to report about the problem on the Blogger Help Groups Discussion Board.

    • 10/19/08 Update!

Blogger.com asks that you should also see if anyone else is having the same bx error code problem. They suggest that you search the Blogger Help Groups for posts that mention the same bx error code that you are getting and that if you don't get any results from that search then you can start a new topic so that you can post about your specific bx error code

  • If you continue to get the bx error code then you should then report it to Blogger.com by filing in a form that they have specifically set aside for reporting the bx error codes.

Update! - According to one of Blogger.com's help message boards - enough people have to report the error before they will assign someone to look into it further!

8/7/08 - Update! - Blogger.com has posted that they want to see how many people report the problem before they assign someone to look into it further.

Please be forewarned though that while Blogger.com appreciates people reporting their bx error code problems they usually only respond IF they need more information from you.

  • While I have also received these bx error codes when working on my own blogs, I have found a way to bypass the bx error code screen. However do not ask me for the bypass procedure. You will have to get that information from Blogger.com

    • I have been told by someone who says that they work closely with the Blogger.com staff that Blogger.com has said that there is no bypass procedure. If this is what they want to believe - then so be it! - unfortunately for them!!

So if you contact Blogger.com to ask them for the bypass procedure and they tell you that there is no such thing, then its up to you to decide what you are going to do next!

*

This "welcome" Message will stay at the top

of this blog for the time being.

November 2008 Update!

It turns out that I had been RIGHT all along! Blogger.com has mentioned the bypass procedure on one of their posts so they DO know that some of the bx error codes can be bypassed!

How do I know this? One of the Blogger.com employees has posted about it in the Blogger Help Message Boards!

So if you would like to know if the bypass procedure will be able to solve your bx error code problem (and it does NOT solve ALL of the bx error code problems - just some of them) just be sure to ask the Blogger.com staff for the bypass procedure.

January 2009 Update!

I should also mention too that not once have I had to either clear my cookies or cache and / or restart my browser to get out of the bx error code screen!

bX-qm5h6h

"can you help me with the bX-qm5h6h error? I would be very thanksful!"

This bx error code has been reported about because it has to do with people trying to export their old blog into a new one.

Here is what some others have posted about this particular bx error code:

"this infamous error code keeps appearing with an apology about server error every time I attempt to import from one blog to another....."

"I've been trying to import Bodge's Bulletin posts to the new blog but keep getting an error message "bX-qm5h6h" - anyone having the same problem?"

"The error code is bX-qm5h6h. I've tried clearing my cache and cookies as well as using a different browser. Nothing helps. Is Blogger aware of this problem?"

According to a posting on Twitter it seems as though this particular bx error code is a problem that has to do with Blogger.com itself and so far no solution from them has been posted online.

It also seems that this particular bx error code has been only posted about recently and since so many people have posted about it in a shourt amount of time it is possible that this could be a temporary bx error code problem. You should give it a few days to see if the problem solves itself (or if Blogger.com themselves solve it). You could also try using the bypass procedure to see if that will get rid of the problem.

This seems to be one of the more recent bx error codes!

Bloggers are getting this bx error code when they are trying to see their own blogs! For some this is a very big problem because a lot of them are using their blogs for their business - which means they are using their blogs to help generate some or more additional income! For example a lot of blogs have Adsense on them and if the blog can't be viewed then that means that the blog won't be earning any Adsense money because since the blog can't be viewed then that means that the Adsense ads can't be clicked on and that means that no money is being earned!

However Blogger.com has said that they are aware of this problem and that they hope to have it fixed soon! They said they will post when they have more news to share about this specific problem.

Hi, I have used bX-code (the) Reporting Form

im still getting this error:bX-etkvk2

Sorry if i posted in comments, but no one is helping me in this issue

Best Regards

Well its a sad thing to see that the bx error code problems are still going on!

Unfortunately you didn't specify what you were doing when you got this particular bx error code. Some problems like template problems, the template itself could be the problem and in that case you would have to go over the coding of the template to see why its not being accepted.

Now there are some bx error code problems that can be solved by using the bypass procedure - which has successful worked for me - in some cases but....again.....

you didn't mention what you were doing with your blog when you got this particular bx error code.

You say that you have reported the error code to Blogger.com by using their form sheet - right? Now all you can do is wait and see if they will be posting a solution and / or update either to their blog or on one of the Blogger.com help boards.

I have been told that reporting the bx error code to them will make them aware of it. Unfortunately they won't contact you directly unless they need more information from you. I have also seen them post that a number of people have to report the bx error code first because they want to make sure that its not one of those temporary bx error codes.

This is the first time that I have seen this particular bx error code being posted about so it is quite possible that this could be one of the newer bx error codes.

unfortunately all that was posted about this particular bx error code was that the person couldn't see their blog.

I don't know if this means that they weren't able to get to their blog or whether or not their blog was even appearing on the Internet at all?

even though this particular bx error code has been posted about before with the symptom of editing / changing / uploading a blog template, another person posted that they got this same exact bx error code when they were trying to change the background icon for their sidebar profile.

I'm assuming that these two incidents of this particular bx error code still have to do with changing / editing the blog template. Although I realize that the "side" widgets are not necessarily the blog template itself, the person that posted didn't say whether they were trying to change the icon using the widgets portion or whether or not they were trying to change the icon in the templates setting.

this bx error code happened when a blogger was trying to log in to their Blogger.com account and that is when they got this bx error code. What makes it worse is that this same person posted that others couldn't get to see the blog as well.

If you continue to get this bx error code (meaning its not one of those temporary bx error code problems) then the best thing to do is to contact Blogger.com and report the bx error code to them so that they can be made aware of it.

this is a bx error code that a LOT of people have been getting when they were trying to change their blog template.

If this is not a temporary bx error code problem and you still continue to get it the problem may lie in the coding of the template itself and that is the reason why it is not being accepted by Blogger.com.

If this is a third-party blog template that you got somewhere else other than Blogger.com then you should go back to that site and see if anyone else has reported having problems using that template. If not then maybe you can contact the person who created the template and inform him of the problem(s) that you are having trying to use their template.

Report Your BX Error Code Problem Here!

Here is the link to report your bx error code problem directly to Blogger.com!

More specifically, they ask that you fill out a form which you can get to by clicking here.

someone reported that they got this bx error code when they clicked on one of the Adsense ads on their blog.

To put it bluntly, you are NOT supposed to click on your own Adsense ads! If you continue to do this you run the risk of losing your Adsense account all together! And since people use Adsense to make money with their blogs and websites - I don't think that is a chance that you will want to risk!

this bx error code happened when a blogger was trying to delete their blog

However this particular bx error code is one that Blogger.com is aware of and they have posted that they are working on solving the problem.

someone posted that they got this bx error code when they were trying to log into their Blogger.com account. Since they use their blog for business and to communicate with their customers they are quite anxious to solve this problem.

Hopefully this is just a temporary bx error code problem - as one of the Blogger.com employees has posted.

However if I remember correctly the bypass procedure has solved similar problems for me.

If this proves to not be a temporary bx error code problem then you should definitely report it to Blogger.com and you can do that by clicking on the link provided on the right side of this blog: Report Your BX Error Code Problem Here.

"How Can I Get The BX Error Codes To Stop?"

That is a good question but unfortunately I don't have an entirely good answer!

I have seen one of the Blogger.com employees post that a lot of these bx error codes are temporary. This means that if you get one of them you might want to give it a little time - like maybe a few days or hours - to see if the problem solves itself.

Another problem may have to do with your Internet connection. It could be too slow or too busy or some kind of "glitch" may be occurring. Again you should give it some time and try it again later to see if you still have the problem. (It has also been suggested that you clear your cache and cookies and then re-start your browser. This method / solution has been posted from some who have posted that this has worked for them.)

There have been some bx error code problems that I have been able to solve with the bypass procedure - however it doesn't solve ALL of the bx error code problems.

There have also been some specific bx error codes where Blogger.com has admitted that the fault was on their end and they post about these specific bx error codes and the progress they are making towards solving them. (So you should keep looking at their updated posts to see what specific bx error codes that they are aware of and which ones they are working on to solve.)

Constantly trying to "fix" your bx error code problem could result in you getting more frustrated and much worse - getting more and different bx error codes! Hence the advice that you should at least wait a while before you try it again!

You can't "stop" a bx error code from happening (unless you have one of the bx error codes that the bypass procedure has successfully worked on) and at the very worst - you can always report your bx error code problem to Blogger.com so that they can look into it further!

this bx error code was gotten when a blogger wanted to delete one of the contributors to their blog.

As I read and learn more about these bx error codes it has come to my attention that some of the problems may have to do with one's internet connection itself. Your internet could be slow, the internet could be extremely busy at the time you are using it or there just may be some type of "glitch" that may be happening.

Of course these may be temporary problems and it is a good idea to wait a while and see if the problem solves itself.

However if you continue to have this problem then you can report it to Blogger.com by clicking on the link that is provided on the right side of this blog - Report Your BX Error Code Problem Here.

Even Though You Want To Post Your Email Address....

While the Blogger.com Help Boards are there to help you when you're having problems with your Blogger.com you may be tempted to want to leave your email address so that you can be emailed.

But please be advised that you are not able to do so!

If you make a post to the message boards and include your email address, your email address will NOT show! When you type in your email address what shows as the final post will be (email address) and not your actual email address!

Now while I have seen that some have managed to get around this I won't post the method they used to bypass this because then everyone would be doing it!

"I cannot log into my blog, and when I type in the name of the blog, I'm told it doesn't exist & given an error message code: bX-srkxw"

This could be one of the temporary bx error codes, meaning that you may want to wait a while to see if the problem solves itself.

It could be a number of things including glitches with your internet connection - which means it could be more of a temporary problem instead of a permanent one.

However if you continue to get the bx error code then you should report it to Blogger.com by clicking on the link that is provided on the right side of this blog - Report Your BX Error Code Problem Here!

"When Is Blogger.om Going To Fix The Bugs With The Template" Issues?"

I really don't think that the problems about the bx error codes that have to do with template issues is something that Blogger.com can solve!

This is only my honest opinion but when these bx error codes have to do with template issues, the culprit usually winds up being that there is something wrong with the template itself. Most likely it has either or both missing or corrupt coding in it.

There is also the likelihood that the coding for the template was copied and pasted wrong.

I have tried a number of different third-party templates for my Different Blog Layouts Blog and for some of them it wasn't as simple as just being able to copy and paste the coding - although that method has worked for some of the different templates it hasn't worked for ALL of them. There have been times when I have used a new template that I have gotten from another site and when Blogger.com wouldn't accept it, I had to go in and tweak the coding until the template was finally accepted.

When you think about it what you are asking is that if the template that you want to use isn't being accepted then you want Blogger.com to go into the coding and fix it so that the template will then be accepted - and that is something that I think Blogger.com will not do!

Just think about it. If everyone that was having problems with their template wanted Blogger.com to fix their template then Blogger.com would be busy for ages!

If you are having a problem with your third-party template then its up to you to be able to solve it.

Sorry, but that is how it goes!
