Replying To "Older" Messages?

It seems that it is not a total loss when I reply to older posts from people who have been having problems with those bx error codes.

I seem to be getting a lot more messages and comments from those who are thanking me for answering their posts - although some consider it fruitless to answer the older posts.

It just seems to me that when there is a post that has no replies to it - it just looks like no one has cared to reply - which is sort of a bad reflection on Blogger.com - in my honest opinion!

bX-gzbyt0

this is another bx error code that has been associated with not being able to log in to one's blog account. Here is what the poster said:

I get this error bX-gzbyt0 when ever I wanted to login to my account last week. what the he** is going with blogger?

What is "going on" with Blogger is that they have said that these bx error codes will be happening from time to time. (It is rumored that they are working on a more permanent solution to get rid of all the bx error code problems). Even when they have fixed some of them they have posted that new ones may pop up.

It might help you to know that Blogger.com has said that a lot of these bx error codes are temporary meaning that they may solve themselves in a few days.

However if you continue to get the bx error code and are still having problems logging into your blog account, then you can report the problem that you are having to Blogger.com by clicking on the "Report Your BX Error Code" link that is provided on the right side of this blog.

Someone has posted that they have gotten this particular bx error code when they were trying to add their adsense ads to their blog.

They didn't say whether or not they were using the option to let Blogger.com add the ads or whether or not they were copying and pasting the ad codes themself.

This is one of the more popular bx error codes that several people have reported getting.

10/29/08 Update!

Here is another comment about receiving this same bx error code message:

I have been trying to add Adsense to my blog but it comes up with error I get to the page where i get to choose what i want the box to look like, i then am asked to sign into my adsense account and when i do it come up with this (bx error code)

More News On The BX Error Code Front......

Recently I have been labeled a "troll" on the Blogger Help Groups because I have been accused of answering "older" posts - which I have answered older posts that don't seem to have gotten any replies.

In one of the posts to me I have been told that when people post about the problems they are having and don't get a reply right away then they don't return to that post. HOWEVER there have been times when I have answered an "older" post and have received a comment to my blog or some kind of "thank you" message.

I have also been told that some of the bx error codes that people have been posting about and seeking help for are temporary and go away after some time but shouldn't that reply be posted instead of just not replying to a person's post at all?

Say Hello To The "Troll"!

So now I'm accused of being a "troll" because I mentioned the bypass procedure on the Blogger.com help groups.

I had originally posted about it assuming that Blogger.com already knew about it but I was told that Blogger.com says that there is no bypass procedure even though I have been using it for the past couple of months every time I get on of those bx error code screens.

I have also since come to find out that someone else has now found another solution for the bx error code problem although I haven't seen him (or her) posting to the Blogger.com help groups.

How To Get Help For Your BX Error Code Problem

When you first start to get these bx error code messages the first step is to post about it on the Blogger.com "help" message boards. Now I am only guessing here - but I'm guessing that the reason why this is the first step is because by posting your bx error code problem maybe someone who has also had the same bx error code problem and managed to solve it will see your post and reply to it with the solution.

However the next step is if you continue to have the problem then you should report it Blogger.com. You can click here and that will take you to a link where you can report the bx error code problem that you are having.

FTP Problems?

A lot of people are posting today about the problems that they are having using ftp with their Blogger.com blogs. A Blogger.com has addressed this issue and made a post about it. You can go to that post by clicking here.

Note - I do not know if the bypass procedure for the bx error code problems would also work with the ftp problems simply because I don't use the ftp method with any of my blogs (yet).

Another Method For Getting Rid Of The BX Error Code Screen Has Been Found!

It seems that Blogger.com is "trying too hard" to solve these bx error code problems. Now comes word from someone else that they have managed to get out of the error code screen altogether!

However the only problem with this method is that it requires you to go into the html code of your blog - whereas the bypass procedure that I use just requires some computer keystrokes! However someone has posted that this method has worked for them! The other problem that I have with this other bypass procedure is that you first must get out of the error screen to be able to alter the html coding of your blog. But like I said before someone has posted that this method has worked for them.

This just leads me to believe that the folks at Blogger.com maybe trying just a little bit too hard in their efforts to solve the bx error code problems.

If I can find a bypass procedure that requires just a few keystrokes and someone else can get out of the bx error code screen just by doing something to the html coding of the blog then why hasn't blogger.com figured this out? As a matter of fact I haven't seen any official mention by the Blogger.com staff about using this second bypass procedure to solve the bx error code screen.

a person posted on the Blogger.com help groups that they were getting this error code when they were trying to add a photo to use as a background for their blog.

It has been suggested by Panther that you should try clearing your cache to see if this will solve this bx error code problem.

I have seen quite a few people posting about this particular bx error code message. So far it seems to have something to do with being able to publish a blog post.

February 2009 Update!

Even though it has been suggested by one of the Blogger.com employees who regularly posts on the boards, clearing one's cache and cookies is a solution that has worked for some but has not worked for everybody.

New News On The BX Error Code Front!

I found some very interesting information about the bx error codes from Blogger.com's own FAQ page!

According to their explanation these bx error code numbers have no specific meaning. They are just a replacement screen / message of Blogger.com's previous error messages that were more benign. According to Blogger.com:

They are simply unique codes, which identify each individual point of abnormal termination

The site also goes on to say that people have started lists of bx error codes "thinking that there is a pattern to the individual bx error code numbers assigned" - when - in their words - there is not. I'm assuming that they might be talking about this blog. But you know what? I am going to keep this blog up and I will continue to post the bx (and other) error codes that I get. Why? Why not!

Unfortunately their site also mentions the fact that they have to receive more than one report of a specific bx error code before they will assign one of their staff to look into the problem. This is very dissappointing news to hear because I and others have posted to the Blogger.com help boards that once they report their bx error code problems then Blogger.com will look into it. I will now have to re-phrase that to include the message that enough people have to report their specific bx error code numbers BEFORE Blogger.com will look into the matter.

Probably the worse news of all is the mention that while the Blogger.com staff works to solve those bx error code problems that doesn't mean that new bx error codes won't continue to pop up!

I'm wondering myself how much problem-solving could be avoided if Blogger.com knew the bypass procedure? Would it eliminate (or decrease) the bad reputation that they are starting to get? Will the bypass procedure work on ALL bx error codes? Does Blogger.com even want to know the bypass procedure? Will it help or hurt them? Could it possibly save them a lot of time and money as far as helping bloggers that still have a blog on Blogger.com? Or do they think that they know of a better solution then simply bypassing the bx error screens altogether?

Personally I have seen people posting a lot about this particular bx error code so that is why I decided to add it to this blog today.

This bx error code message comes up when people are working with, adding widgets to or uploading or creating new templates for their blogs on Blogger.com

Also:

  • "is the error I get when I try to save the template after "expanding widgets" even if I have made no changes to the template code"

seems to be a very popular error code

"How Long Does It Take Blogger.com To Solve A BX Error Code?"

Someone posted this question on one of the Blogger.com help boards today and I thought that it was really a quite interesting question!

Just like everything else problems have different and varying degrees! It is just too impossible to say how long it will take the Blogger.com staff to solve a particular bx error code problem.

I'm sure that there have been some of them that have been solved in as little as 24 hours and yet there are still some of them that haven't been solved in days, weeks and / or months!

I should also note that while Blogger.com does want people to report to them about the bx error code problems that they are having they have noted on their site that in general they will not contact you unless they need more information about the problem(s) you are having.

If you would like to know the current status of the problems that Blogger.com is working on you can log into your Blogger.com account and look at the latest links to the latest updates of the problems that the Blogger.com staff have solved.

If you are looking for the bypass procedure to get out of the bx error code screen then you are going to have to contact Blogger.com and ask them for that information.

seems to have to do with adding some type of widget or feed burning-related item to one's blog but then the blogger decides to delete it and that is when they get this error code

the error code that I mentioned above. I got this error code after I approved a comment on my blog. After approving the comment I wanted to post a new entry but got the above error code. Not thinking I did one of those shortcut keyboard combinations and I was able to get back to my dashboard where I could post a new entry to my blog! This error occurred and I was able to get out of it and return to posting an entry on my blog

Problems Uploading Videos To One's Blog

The current crop of problems seem to involve people having problems uploading videos to their blog(s).

Personally I try not to add videos to my blogs or websites because I know that not everyone has high speed internet access and when you are using a dial-up modem for your Internet access, viewing videos can be difficult if not downright impossible!

I don't know if the bypass procedure would work on this because I haven't tried it yet but I may just to see if it works.
